Tens of parcel street vendor tents on Jalan Cikini Raya, Menteng, Central Jakarta were controlled by Satpol PP personnel, Friday (6/3). The effort was done since the vendors occupying sidewalk.
We controlled 12 tents
Iyan Sophian Hadi, Central Jakarta Satpol PP Head, admitted mostly of them are seasonal sellers and always occupying sidewalk. They have violated Bylaw No. 8/2007 about public order.
“We controlled 12 tents,” he said, Friday (6/3).
Ahead of Eid ul Fitr, Parcel Products Supervision TightenedAfter that, the tents were taken to Menteng Sub-district office. As many as 15 Satpol PP personnel were deployed during the raid.
“We’ll not give them chance to occupy sidewalk again,” he closed.
